Tiger Bay Tea

Tiger Bay Tea is a shop and tasting room for Ceylon teas, jaggery sweets and a short lunch menu. The blends are named after streets in Butetown, not estates the family never owned.

The story

Amali Fernando’s grandparents arrived in Cardiff through the docks. The shop is a way of putting that history on a shelf without turning it into a museum.
